Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Excel Academy website, learning platform and mobile app (together, the "Services"). By creating an account, purchasing a course or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. About us

Excel Academy is an online tuition provider for Accounting, Finance and professional programmes, including ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CITN, CIBN, ANAN, CFA, CPA, JUPEB and professional development courses.

2. Your account

  • You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.
  • Accounts are personal. You may not share your account or let others access your courses.

3. Courses and access

  • When you purchase a course, you get a personal, non-transferable right to access its content for the period stated on the course page.
  • We may update, improve or reorganise course content to keep it accurate and in line with the current syllabus.
  • Live classes, tutor support and mock marking are provided as described on each course page and may be scheduled at our discretion.

4. Payments

  • Prices are shown on our courses site in Nigerian Naira unless stated otherwise, and may change from time to time. A price change does not affect a course you have already paid for.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. Access is granted once payment is confirmed.
  • If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend access to the related course until it is resolved.

5. Refunds

Because course content becomes available immediately after purchase, payments are generally non-refundable. If you were charged in error, paid twice, or could not access a course because of a fault on our side, contact us within 7 days of payment and we will review your request fairly.

6. Intellectual property

All course materials, including lecture notes, videos, questions, mock exams and other content, belong to Excel Academy or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may use them only for your own personal study. You must not copy, record, download (except where we allow it), share, sell or distribute them, in whole or in part.

7. Acceptable use

When using the Services, including our community groups and chat, you agree not to:

  • post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading or that infringes anyone's rights;
  • harass other students, tutors or staff;
  • share course materials or exam content you are not permitted to share;
  • attempt to interfere with, hack or overload the Services.

We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Examination results

We work hard to prepare you well, but examinations are set and marked by the relevant professional bodies. Your results depend on your own preparation and performance, so we cannot guarantee that you will pass any examination.

9. Availability of the Services

We aim to keep the Services available at all times, but they may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates or events beyond our control. We are not responsible for losses caused by temporary unavailability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Excel Academy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the course concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, including intellectual property and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. If you continue to use the Services after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute will be resolved by the courts of Nigeria, although we will always try to resolve a concern with you informally first.
